En la ceremonia de inauguración de los juegos olímpicos de invierno en Vancouver, se estreno la nueva campaña de NIKE que lleva el nombre de Human Chain. En el sopt nos quieren mostrar la superación humana mostrándonos una cadena humana hecha digitalmente que representa: el esfuerzo, la superación, la determinación y la constancia.
Para este nuevo anuncio Nike ha reunido deportistas tan dispares como: Oscar Pistorius (atleta, famoso por sus prótesis y intentar entrar en las competiciones no paralimpicas), Maria Sharapova (Tenista), Lance Amstrong (Ciclista), Sergio “Kun” Aguero (Futbolista Argentino del Ath. de Madrid), Deeron Williams (Base de los Utah Jazz), LaDianian Tomlinson (Running Back de los San Diego Chargers), Mike Spinner (Corredor de BMX), unos cuantos deportistas amateurs (lo del rodeo no sabría como clasificarlo) y la sorpresa, la incursión de Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (Extreme Fighting) que dentro de poco lo podremos ver encarnando a B.A Barracus en la nueva versión de “El Equipo A”.
En el apartado musical, el anuncio tiene de fondo la canción de la banda británica The Hours (antiguos colaboradores de bandas como, Pulp, Elastica, Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros) y acertadamente han escogido el tema “Ali In The Jungle” que hace referencia a la reaparicion del mejor boxeador de todos los tiempos (Muhamad Ali) en su combate contra un jovencisimo George Foreman en Kinshasa el 30 de Octubre de 1974 (una fecha histórica he inolvidable) y la letra de la canción dice que la reaparición de Ali en la jungla (Zaire), es la más grande desde Lázaro (no creo que haga falta explicaros de Lázaro ¿Verdad?) y hace referencias constantes ha caerse y volverse a levantar ¡¡¡PERFECTO!! para lo que quieren decir en el anuncio.

The Hours es una banda que llevan desde 2004, practican un indie-pop muy británico y se hacen ayudar de orquestación para dar un toque más épico a su música. No son muy conocidos y veremos hasta donde llegan después de ser lanzados mundialmente por NIKE.
